| System Description: | Classical breakout strategy based on very simple entry logic. Uses two different timeframes for its calculation which is based on the opening price of the day and on the strength and direction of the market. Uses a slightly different entry setup for short trades and long trades in order to gain the most from the index’s directional disparity Uses a time filter and a day of the week (DOW) filter. Works on multiple markets and indexes, however its performance is most stable on the emini S&P (ES) market. Gainer-5 reflects two important benefits of the strategy. Firstly, it gains the most advantage from the index’s directional disparity, because it uses slightly different entry setups for each direction. Secondly, it produces positive trading results on 5 other markets. However, the S&P (ES) market is the preferred one, as it produces the most stable results with very reasonable risk. |
