| System Description: | Harbor Strategies Volatility Trader looks for opportunities to enter an S&P (ES) position when market volatility exhibits certain characteristics, accompanied by various confirmations as to market direction, momentum etc. This strategy can be traded by itself; however it fits well in a portfolio of other Harbor Strategies since it has low correlation. The theory behind this strategy dates back to the mid to late 2000 with minor tweaks along the years. Like other Harbor Strategies, Volatility Trader is opportunistic in nature therefore highly selective in the trades it takes, resulting in about a dozen trades per year yielding a high percentage of wining trades in past testing.
