| System Description: | Prophet is a trend strategy. The Prophet strategy will enter a long or short trade when the market is presenting a trend with significant momentum. Once the momentum is confirmed the strategy will also look for a pullback prior to taking an entry. This Prophet is an Intra-Day strategy. This strategy was designed specifically to work on the S&P Futures Contract (ES) on a 5 minute interval. Back testing and optimization is performed on data extending back to September 1st, 2007. Prophet is a similar strategy to Momentum ES. The similarities are that they both are trading with the trend. The Prophet is using a unique algorithm to determine the strength of momentum. It also has a unique algorithm to determine the pullback required to enter a trade. The Prophet is a bit more conservative. Prophet will typically take less trades over time. There are times when both will take a trade and there are times when one will take a trade while the other does not. |
